Leigh Ellis, a passionate basketball enthusiast, was once a prominent host of the renowned NBA podcast, ‘No Dunks’ from The Athletic. However, in a surprising turn of events, he chose to resign from his stable career to embark on an ambitious journey – the “20-20-20” tour. This unique venture aimed to play 20 pickup basketball games in 20 cities across 20 different countries.
Starting his sports journalism career as an intern at The Score in Toronto, Leigh’s love for basketball was evident when he would often play pickup games during his travels. These experiences, shared on social media, garnered attention from fans worldwide, inviting him to play in their cities.
This overwhelming response inspired Leigh to combine his two greatest passions: basketball and travel.
Originally from Sunbury, Australia, Leigh’s journey took him from being a backpacker in Toronto to showcasing his vast NBA knowledge on NBA TV.
